Calling a New Pastor
Mission Statement: The people of McVeytown Presbyterian Church seek to authentically love God and others through our words and actions. Vision Statement: Our job is to love God and one another. McVeytown Presbyterian Church is an ordinary church with ordinary people following an extraordinary Savior. The beauty of our church is faithfulness to the truth and the love for people. We want to be who God wants us to be – no more, no less. We want to be more like Christ. Jesus Himself was the perfect example of what He wants His church to be like. Jesus was steadfast in His devotion to God’s Word. He was equally committed to compassion, mercy, and love.
Minimum Requirements
- Master of Divinity from an accredited institution
- Ordained or Eligible for Ordination in the Presbyterian Church
- Other Requirements as set by the Session of McVeytown Presbyterian Church
Vision of Ministry
The beauty of our church is faithfulness to the truth and the love for people. The congregation has a strong desire to walk with God and help others while leaning heavily on scripture for guidance. The vision for our congregation is to seek to authentically love God and others through our words and actions and be led by a pastor who will continue to foster the spiritual development of the congregation through God’s Word as it appears in the scriptures. When our church sees a need within the community we respond. We are a very giving congregation and ask for Christ to guide us in this mission. We want to be who God wants us to be – no more, no less.
